Counselor In Training (CIT) Training

A mandatory 1 day training is required for all CITs, May 30 - 9:30am - 3:30pm.  

CITs learn basic leadership, teamwork, communication, and group interaction skills as they explore and assist our Outdoor Instructors during the camp day. CITs lead games, read stories, and add to the fun of camp!  The CIT schedule during the camp week is 8:30am arrival and 3:30pm departure each day.  PLEASE NOTE that the Slide Ranch shuttle does not accommodate the CIT schedule.

To become a CIT, youth must register for and attend the CIT training. Once training is complete, you'll be able to join us for multiple weeks of camp, depending on your schedule and camp needs.  We ask CITs to be available for at least 2 weeks of summer camp, if possible.

What to bring: CITs bring their own bagged lunch and snack, refillable water bottle, and layers each day.

Cancellation and Change Policy: 

• You will be eligible for a full refund minus a $100 program deposit if your cancellation is made at least 8 weeks before the camp session start date.
• Cancellations received with less than 8 weeks notice WILL NOT be eligible for a full refund. If greater than 4 weeks before the start of a camp session, you will receive a 50% refund. 
• Within 4 weeks of the start of a session, Slide Ranch does not offer refunds.
• Transfers are no charge if more than 8 weeks prior to the start of your camp session, space dependent. 
• Transfer requests received less than 8 weeks prior to the start of camp will incur a $100 transfer fee, space dependent.
• If your child cannot complete a camp session (illness, etc.), no camp fees will be refunded.
• If Slide Ranch closes camp for any full camp session due to unforeseen circumstances, registration fees will be refunded minus the $100 deposit.
• If Slide Ranch closes camp in the middle of a session due to unforeseen circumstances, we cannot guarantee a refund.
