Mindful slow birding is a different take on classic birding that allows us to truly take in and appreciate our surrounding environment. Birds are by far the species we interact with most in our daily lives. Developing naturalist skills focused on observing habitat, behavior, sounds, etc. advances our relationship with nature. Hone your appreciation for the outdoors through a birding lens here at Slide Ranch!

Join us for our morning milking with the Slide Ranch goats. We'll discuss dairy farm practices and spend time with the rest of the herd!

Explore the many methods of composting we employ here at Slide Ranch and learn how you can begin or expand your composting at home. We'll explore source materials and gets hands on with building, turning, sifting and ultimately adding compost to the garden. From worm bins to compost lasagna, you'll leave with a deeper understanding of the value of compost and (we hope!) be inspired to start your own compost adventure at home.

Learn to create simple fermented foods you can enjoy with your friends, family, or keep all to yourself! Ages 14+
